Having been a keen sailor for close to a decade, Managing Director Gary Halton and IRL are involved as sponsors of a selection of yachting events. An example of this is being the sponsors for the Hartley 16 National Championships for the last 2 years. In 2008 the regatta was held in New Plymouth, and then Manukau for 2009.

Finn sailor, Roger Hall is a high performer out on the water (see picture for his achievements). IRL sponsored Roger’s campaign at the 23rd Waiuku Finn Veterans Champs, which were held over Easter weekend, 10 – 12 April 2009. After sailing 9 races in the Manukau Harbour over the 3 days, the end result was a proud first place finish.
